Hot Fuzz

I’ve always been a fan of Scott Pilgrim vs The World, but until watching Hot Fuzz it was the only of Edgar Wright’s films that I’d had the pleasure of viewing. Hot Fuzz is another example of his directorial style and ability to construct visual humor in full force. Edgar Wright is arguably the most skilled director of comedy active today. It’s a joy to watch his stylistic flair materialize in his work. Hot Fuzz is a wonderful parody of buddy cop movies that stays visually engaging and funny, even getting rather dark at some points. Wright’s style ensures that no moment of the film ever feels dull or drawn out, with every scene being entertaining and engaging. Wright is a master of comedy, and I look forward to watching the rest of his Cornetto Trilogy and seeing how his other work compares.
